The wheelarch prior to any work being carried out. You can clearly see that someone had previously cut out the arches, the fibreglass is really thin here, hence the more cracks
I had to cut out the worst of the wheelarch to have a solid surface to start the repair on. The arch kept getting bigger!
This is the inside of the wheelarch after I'd cleaned it up a bit. I will be putting fresh cloth over this to strengthen it up a bit.
A mould of the outside of a complete wheelarch with a 3mm layer of wax inside to allow for the step when it's taped onto the outside of the car.
With the mould taped in place on the outside of the car I put 3 layers of woven cloth inside the wheelarch to strenghten and shape prior to putting cloth on the outside.
This is a view from the outside after I'd placed all the cloth on the inside and waited for the resin to cure. There is peel ply inside the mould to allow for easy removal.
